Devil's
Peak is far more accessible than most people think, the
direct route from Tafelberg road up to the saddle and up one of
the clearly nmarked paths to the top can be done in an hour if done
at a good pace. Which is was we did when going up for full moon.
Cape Town from up high as the sun sets behind Table Mountain
which is so close you feel as if you could touch her but
all you can do is feel her awsome presence.
The
only other 2 adventurous people with the same idea as us were 2
enthusiastic drummers with their Jembees in tow.
The
sunset was fantastic, The moon rising over Cape Town was spectacular
from way up there looking down on Cape Town easing intself into
another beautiful summers evening her lights sparkling lazily as
you listen to the hum of the city.
Coming
down, with the light of the full moon making torches redundant,
was quite special. The mountain at night is both majestic and mysterious.
see
you soon
