Participants for each event will be a balance of young people from both advantaged and disadvantaged communities.

All basic camping, hiking, paddling, safety and first aid, cooking and catering equipment will be provided by Journey Trails to ensure that all participants share exactly the same experience. Transport will be provided by Journey Trails.

Fees will be based on a sliding scale, depending on family income. Details of fees will be provided in advance and will depend on the venue, nature and duration of each event.

Disadvantaged participants' fees will be subsidised by, or provided from income generated from Journey Trails events and donations and from sponsorships secured by Journey Trails.
